01 · Intro

I make documentary films about two people and the families who love them. Photos keep how it all looked. I keep how it sounded: the tremble in your vows, the laugh that slips out, the people who came just to be in the room.

06 · Elopement & micro wedding questions

What if we’re really awkward on camera?

You’re not alone, and it’s completely fine. The interview is a chat, and on the day I’m mostly out of sight. Awkward people make the most honest films.

How much does an elopement or micro wedding videographer cost in Vancouver?

The Chapter, for elopements and small ceremonies, is $1,800 at the founding rate for bookings by February 28, 2027, then $1,950. The Feature, for the full wedding day, is $2,500 at the founding rate, then $2,850. The Prologue, your story before the vows, is $699 on its own or $549 with a wedding film. Travel depends on location. Every package includes a documentary film, professional color grading and licensed music.

What’s the difference between The Chapter and The Feature?

Both are documentary films in your own words. The Feature adds wireless mics for your vows, so your real vows become part of the film, plus your vows scene as its own film and an extra hour together.

What counts as an elopement or a micro wedding?

I think of an elopement as a ceremony with up to about 20 people, often just the two of you, your officiant and witnesses. A micro wedding is a small celebration of up to about 50 guests. Both leave room for real conversations, which is where a documentary film shines.

What is a documentary-style wedding film?

A documentary-style film follows your day as it actually unfolds, with no staged scenes or scripted lines. I combine unposed footage with short interviews with you and the people closest to you, so your story is told in your own words.

Do we have to do the interview?

Yes. Your own words are the heart of every film I make. If you’d rather not be on camera, we can record your voices only, and the film is told through your voices over the moments of the day.

Will speeches be in our film?

A few moments may appear, recorded with the camera’s own sound. I don’t offer a separate speeches film. If your DJ or venue records the speeches and sends you the file, I’m happy to weave it in where I can.

How far do you travel?

Travel within Langley, Surrey, White Rock and Cloverdale is included. Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam, Abbotsford, Delta and any other Metro Vancouver city not listed here (like New Westminster, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows) add $100. For the North Shore, Chilliwack, Mission and Squamish, travel is quoted on request. For mountain or remote locations, travel arrangements are confirmed when we plan your day.

What if it rains?

This is Vancouver, so it happens. If your plans can move, I’ll do my best to move your date with you, even at short notice, at no extra cost and subject to my availability. If the day goes ahead, I’ll work with your planner on a rain plan: covered spots, umbrellas and the quiet indoor moments. Some of the most beautiful films happen in the rain.

What if our plans change?

Life happens. The 30% deposit holds your date and is non-refundable. You can move your date once at no cost with at least 30 days’ notice, as long as I’m available, and everything you’ve paid moves with it. Weather is the exception: we’ll find a new date together within 12 months, even at short notice, on the same terms. If you cancel 30 or more days before, anything paid beyond the deposit is refunded; within 30 days, the full fee is non-refundable.

How far in advance should we book, and how do we book?

Elopements and family events can often be booked a few months ahead, while summer weekends fill up 6 to 12 months in advance. To book, a 30% deposit by Interac e-Transfer holds your date, and the balance is due 1 to 4 weeks before your event.

How long does it take to receive our film?

The Chapter and The Feature are delivered within 8 weeks through a private download link. The Prologue is delivered one week before your wedding, ready to play at your reception. A 3-week rush option is available. Your files are kept for 6 months after delivery.

Can you be a witness at our elopement?

In many cases, yes. BC marriages need two witnesses, and I’m happy to be one of them if your officiant agrees. Please confirm the requirements with your marriage commissioner or officiant when you plan your ceremony.

Where can we elope in Vancouver?

Vancouver has beautiful options, from city parks and beaches to mountain viewpoints and quiet gardens. Once we talk about the feeling you want, I can suggest locations that suit your guest count, the season and how easy they are to reach.

07 · Get in touch

The Filmmaker

My name is Taewoo, and I tell love stories with a camera and a lot of listening. In Korea, I made music videos, short documentaries and films. Then I started over in Canada.

Starting over taught me that the moments that matter most rarely look big: a first real conversation, a mother’s laugh, the quiet just before the vows. I’d love to hear how you found each other. Shall we say hello?
